E/E System Architect – Vehicle Architecture

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Create and implement vehicle-level E/E architectures in accordance with functional, technical, and regulatory specifications.

• Convert vehicle specifications into requirements at the system, subsystem, ECU, and component levels.

• Establish and uphold system architectures, interfaces, signal pathways, and communication strategies.

• Design and assess vehicle communication networks such as CAN/CAN-FD, LIN, Automotive Ethernet, and diagnostics.

• Oversee the integration of ECUs, sensors, actuators, and software components throughout various vehicle domains.

• Work in conjunction with cross-functional engineering teams, suppliers, and technology collaborators.

• Assist in architecture evaluations, system integration, testing, troubleshooting, and assessing change impacts.

• Maintain requirements traceability and ensure architectural consistency across the entire vehicle system.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• Multiple years of experience in E/E systems development within the automotive or off-highway sectors.

• Strong comprehension of vehicle E/E architectures, systems engineering, and requirements engineering principles.

• Familiarity with CAN/CAN-FD, LIN, Automotive Ethernet, and diagnostics (UDS).

• Proficiency with PREEvision, DOORS, Enterprise Architect, MATLAB/Simulink, or similar MBSE/SysML tools.

• Knowledge of ISO 26262, Automotive SPICE, and preferably ISO/SAE 21434.

• Understanding of ECU hardware, embedded software, wiring harnesses, and electrical vehicle architectures.

• Proven experience collaborating with suppliers, development partners, and cross-functional engineering teams.

• Strong English communication skills.

• Proficiency in German is an advantage.
