This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Collect, edit, and proofread content for various print products.

• Efficiently and accurately assess content sources and quality.

• Follow up on any missing information.

• Execute routine production tasks.

• Produce precise, error-free work under tight deadlines.

• Work during various shifts, including evenings and weekends.

• Foster strong relationships within the team.

• Guarantee that readers receive high-quality newspaper products.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Degree or Diploma in Journalism or a related field.

• Prior experience in Journalism, Communications, or Public Relations.

• Experience in a newspaper page production setting.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and SharePoint.

• Familiarity with CP style.

• Excellent grammar, sentence structure, spelling, punctuation, and headline management skills.

• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

• Experience or knowledge of the NewsGate/Cue Print layout system is considered a significant advantage.
