Dynamics Functional Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the functional design and configuration for Microsoft Dynamics 365 applications, which encompass Customer Service, Sales Hub, and Customer Insights – Journeys.

• Collaborate with Dynamics and Operations teams to convert business requirements into scalable solutions.

• Oversee the configuration and ongoing enhancement of Dynamics 365 Customer Service, focusing on case lifecycles, routing, queues, SLAs, and knowledge management.

• Design and uphold Sales Hub processes for referral, intake, and growth workflows, which includes Business Process Flows, forms, views, and forecasting.

• Construct and manage segments, journeys, triggers, forms, and communication workflows within Customer Insights – Journeys.

• Administer Dataverse schemas, security roles, row-level security, and Power Automate workflows.

• Supervise the solution lifecycle and deployments across both sandbox and production environments.

• Facilitate discovery sessions, solution design, UAT, training, and post-launch user assistance.

• Document solutions and design decisions to support the long-term maintenance of the platform.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of practical experience with Dynamics 365 CE / Power Platform, including architecture or lead-consultant roles.

• Extensive functional knowledge of Dynamics 365 Customer Service, specifically SLAs, routing, queues, business hours, knowledge management, and case lifecycles.

• Strong experience in Dynamics 365 Sales, covering pipeline design, Business Process Flows, and forecasting.

• Familiarity with Customer Insights – Journeys or a similar marketing automation platform.

• Experience in managing solutions and application lifecycle management (ALM), including deployments across various environments.

• Solid experience with Dataverse schema, security model, Power Automate, and model-driven app configuration.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, capable of working effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.

• Preferred experience in applying Copilot or other AI tools within Dynamics 365.

• Experience in healthcare, human services, or other regulated industries is preferred; awareness of HIPAA is a plus.

• Preferred certifications in Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Power Platform.

• Familiarity with JavaScript, C# plugins, PCF controls, or the Dataverse Web API is advantageous.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
