Drinking Water Regulatory Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Support the Public Water Systems Director with the submission of applications and the coordination of construction and operational permits.

• Aid the Regulatory and Compliance Director in monitoring compliance for public water systems by securing laboratory quotes, arranging courier pickups, and dispatching sampling supplies.

• Assist the Public Water Systems Manager in tracking the compliance project status alongside third-party laboratories.

• Review and input laboratory and field monitoring data, as well as process compliance reports.

• Help prepare and submit drinking water reports to state and federal regulatory bodies.

• Uphold public water system regulatory standards in collaboration with the Environmental Group Compliance Team.

• Generate iChlor® Remediation Reports and iChlor® Hybrid Reports.

• Offer guidance and training to the Sales Team regarding public water system compliance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.

• A current and valid Driver’s License.

• Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.

• Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.

• Preferred: B.S. in Science or Engineering or B.A. in Environmental Sciences.

• Preferred: Familiarity with MS Office applications.

• Preferred: Possession of a Drinking Water Operator License.

• Preferred: Educational background and/or previous professional experience related to municipal drinking water systems, the EPA Safe Drinking Water Act, and waterborne pathogens like Legionella bacteria.

• Preferred: Strong communication and organizational abilities.

• Preferred: Attention to detail and capability to meet deadlines.
