Draught Dispense Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on Boxbar equipment and draught dispense systems at customer locations throughout the South.

• Conduct system inspections to detect potential faults, wear, or reliability concerns.

• Service and maintain dispense equipment, cooling systems, pumps, gas systems, pipework, and related components.

• Replace worn or faulty components to ensure high-quality drink dispensing from keg to tap.

• Address technical faults and customer service needs across the region.

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, cooling, and dispense-related issues, executing safe and effective repairs.

• Test equipment post-repair and escalate complex or recurring problems as necessary.

• Organize service tasks, plan travel routes, and manage van stock, tools, and equipment.

• Represent Boxbar professionally at customer sites, explaining equipment operation, cleaning, and maintenance procedures.

• Assist with installations, equipment connections, commissioning, system testing, and site assessments.

• Provide technical support at stadiums, arenas, festivals, and other live events.

• Complete service records, job sheets, technical documentation, risk assessments, and site reports.

• Adhere to health and safety protocols and venue-specific operational guidelines.

• Occasionally attend Wakefield HQ for training, meetings, equipment or parts collection, and technical tasks.

• Share feedback from the field and suggest enhancements to equipment reliability, servicing practices, installation techniques, and troubleshooting guidance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior experience in field service, maintenance, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, beverage equipment, or a related technical field.

• Hands-on experience servicing, maintaining, installing, or repairing equipment.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand and power tools.

• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

• Capability to work independently and manage field assignments effectively.

• Ability to comprehend technical instructions, diagrams, schematics, or service protocols.

• Strong attention to detail and dedication to completing tasks accurately.

• Confidence in direct communication with customers and site teams.

• Proficient in utilizing mobile technology or service-management systems for job record completion.

• Willingness to travel regularly within the South of England and occasionally to other parts of the UK.

• Valid UK driving licence.

• Knowledge of keg-to-tap systems, beer and beverage lines, cooling equipment, pumps, dispense components, gas systems, regulators, cellar equipment, cleaning and drinks-quality procedures, and draught dispense fault diagnosis is highly desirable.

• Product-specific technical training and support will be provided.

• Relevant mechanical, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, or technical qualifications are advantageous.

• Willingness to occasionally work outside standard hours to meet customer or event demands.
