This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Identify potential donors by utilizing recruitment data, alternative contacts, online search tools, paid search engines, and social media platforms.
• Inform donors, reinforce commitment and retention messages, and address any barriers to donation.
• Utilize behavioral coaching techniques, open-ended questions, reflective listening, conversation summaries, and next-step assessments.
• Perform health screenings for donors and evaluate both medical and non-medical factors to ensure ongoing participation.
• Collaborate with Medical Services, Provider Services, and Donor Advocacy regarding any unique donor situations.
• Organize blood draws, schedule appointments, manage locations, order kits, track donors and kits, and handle follow-up documentation.
• Execute operational tasks, initial contact activities, donor updates, and documentation in accordance with required timelines and standards.
• Safeguard member confidentiality and protect identities.
• Record donor activities in STAR Link/Salesforce and complete necessary NMDP documentation.
• Foster relationships with Donor Operations, donor center personnel, collaborating departments, external vendors, laboratory partners, and draw locations.
• Work in conjunction with Workup teams to guarantee seamless and timely transitions of donor cases.
• Stay informed on HLA and blood stem cell transplantation principles.
• Assist with the STAR Link donor database management.
• Provide support for the team and manage general team call queues.
• Carry out responsibilities in accordance with NMDP standards, CFR, FDA regulations, OSHA guidelines, and relevant laws.
• A Bachelor’s degree in human services or a health care-related field is mandatory; equivalent relevant health care experience and/or education may be accepted upon evaluation.
• A minimum of three years of professional experience in effectively communicating with individuals or coaching individuals on behavioral changes.
• Three years of customer service experience, direct patient interaction, or care in a clinical/healthcare environment may be considered in lieu of behavioral coaching experience.
• Proficiency in basic word processing and data entry is required.
• Familiarity with MS Office, including basic word processing, spreadsheet, and database software applications.
• Strong computer skills while simultaneously engaging with customers.
• Advanced internet research abilities, including experience with social media.
• Excellent communication skills with the capability to ask probing questions in a mission-driven call center setting.
• Ability to manage a high volume of diverse file types.
• Competence in utilizing people finder tools effectively.
• Demonstrated critical thinking, problem-solving, and emotional intelligence skills.
• Capacity to multitask in a dynamic, multimedia environment using phone, email, text, and mail.
• Ability to convey medical information, manage confidential data, and maintain thorough documentation.
• Capability to produce accurate work with attention to detail and follow-through.
• Flexibility in work hours; evening and weekend availability may be necessary.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and advanced health screening is preferred.
• Familiarity with obtaining informed consent is preferred.
• Experience in a target-driven sales environment is preferred.
