This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Build, recruit, train, deploy, mentor, develop, and retain a high-performing team of primary-care sales representatives.

• Achieve sales performance and Brand KPIs to meet or surpass district sales plans within budgeted expenses.

• Supervise daily in-field activities and manage day-to-day operations of assigned team members.

• Lead field training sessions covering product knowledge, market dynamics, brand strategy, tactics, corporate policies, and business planning.

• Ensure the execution of territory account plans to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and launch objectives.

• Establish and monitor sales targets, budgets, Sales Force Management Systems, and KPIs.

• Align district priorities and engagement plans with brand strategy and national strategic objectives.

• Manage revenue, profit goals, and expenses for the assigned district.

• Hold direct reports accountable through field visits, one-on-one meetings, and performance evaluations.

• Organize and conduct action-plan and leadership meetings.

• Analyze and assess team and territory performance.

• Uphold standards for compliance, product knowledge, brand messaging, digital resource utilization, competitor evaluation, and sales skills.

• Address performance gaps in collaboration with Regional Directors and HR.

• Work alongside Medical, Market Access, Field Reimbursement, Account Management, Inside Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams.

• Plan, forecast, and oversee the operating budget.

• Maintain technical expertise to address product, policy, and business-related inquiries.

• Conduct field rides and offer feedback, guidance, and coaching.

• Support the development of action plans and National Sales Meetings.

• Ensure ethical and compliant activities within the team.

• Participate in cross-functional launch-readiness preparations.


⛳️ Requirements

• A BS/BA degree is required.

• At least five (5) years of successful experience in pharmaceutical sales is necessary.

• Primary-care sales experience is highly preferred.

• A minimum of three (3) years of pharmaceutical sales management experience is strongly preferred.

• Demonstrated leadership, management, and coaching experience with cross-functional teams or individual contributors and teams.

• Launch planning experience is strongly preferred, particularly within the primary care sector.

• Experience in coaching total office call activity in either a primary-care or specialty environment is required.

• Primary-care calling experience is strongly preferred.

• Proven ability to establish relationships with HCPs, pharmacies, and other key stakeholders.

• Capability to comprehend disease states, patient profiles, and treatment pathways and convey clinical information effectively.

• Documented sales achievements, including meeting or exceeding territory performance goals and attaining national recognition.

• Strategic thinking, integrity, accuracy, and meticulous attention to detail are essential.

• Experience in utilizing and optimizing CRM systems and analyzing performance metrics.

• Previous experience promoting newly launched products is strongly preferred.

• Familiarity with the territory and established stakeholder relationships is advantageous.

• Knowledge in commercial, financial processes, Market Access, project management, and the regulatory environment within biotech/pharma is a plus.

• Excellent presentation, organizational, administrative, and communication skills are required.

• Strong interpersonal, conflict-resolution, consensus-building, vision-setting, change-management, and coaching skills are crucial.

• Knowledge of assigned products, treatment regimens, competitor products, market trends, and industry developments is necessary.

• Advanced business analytics and problem-solving capabilities are required.

• Proficiency in using corporate reporting tools and technology is necessary.

• Completion of a comprehensive onboarding curriculum, including clinical modules, CRM documentation, and fair-balance call standards is required.

• Successful passing of live-call certification and mock objections during ride-along training is mandatory.

• Attendance at refresher meetings on product and disease-state updates is expected.

• Significant field travel of approximately 80% is required, which may include overnight and weekend travel.

• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is necessary.

• Ability to successfully complete a thorough background check is required.

• Valid licenses and credentialing are needed to conduct business in the assigned territory.

• Ability to drive or fly to target accounts, customers, meetings, and conventions is necessary.

• Must drive safely to all required meetings and appointments.
