This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee commercial activities within field teams to enhance sales in the designated region.
• Develop, implement, and communicate the District Sales Plan while tracking its progress.
• Coordinate in-field efforts to meet objectives and established targets.
• Leverage market, segment, and team dynamics to boost both top-line and bottom-line performance.
• Ensure seamless collaborative execution of daily operations and long-term business initiatives.
• Set the tone and pace for organizational processes and business operations.
• Present market insights and franchise/business perspectives while steering teams and in-field meetings.
• Coach, mentor, train, and develop both direct and indirect team members.
• Hold direct reports accountable to expected behaviors and standards.
• Provide guidance and insights to key internal stakeholders during business planning sessions.
• Exemplify the AbbVie Ways of Working.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or relevant equivalent industry experience is required.
• At least four years of experience in pharmaceutical sales management; external management experience may be considered.
• Business analysis and planning capabilities that drive sales performance.
• Demonstrated leadership experience as a District Manager.
• Good standing with safety and compliance regulations.
• Currently meeting performance expectations.

• Excellent judgment and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to clearly articulate the scientific aspects of treatments and therapeutic areas.
• Proven track record of providing candid, effective feedback and efficiently managing performance.

• Ability to foster a culture of success and full team engagement.
• Must meet all relevant healthcare industry representative credentialing requirements and maintain good standing or be eligible to obtain them.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving standards.
• Willingness to travel 25% of the time.
