This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Expand the VCT-USA wine portfolio across both off-premise and on-premise channels in Illinois.
• Propel sales activation and implement key initiatives to enhance customer relationships and foster commercial growth.
• Responsible for market-level sales activation and significant brand programs.
• Cultivate relationships with leading retail accounts and local chains while identifying sales opportunities.
• Develop relationships with distributor teams to amplify efforts and increase brand presence.
• Organize market work-withs, surveys, and sales blitzes in collaboration with distributor teams.
• Provide weekly market performance summaries and pinpoint execution gaps to the Region Manager.
• Monitor program compliance, competitive pricing, and feature execution.
• Implement confirmed chain and brand programs specific to the assigned territory.
• Oversee Luxury Brand Collection execution as assigned.
• Enhance distribution on brand focus programs.
• Communicate progress of execution to the Region Manager and distributor teams.
• Manage the budget for the assigned territory and submit requests for additional spending.
• Maintain relationships with key district managers, sales representatives, division managers, and chain account managers.
• Participate in General Sales Meetings and training sessions when necessary.
• Be active in the market 85%–90% of the time.
• Conduct distributor work-withs and develop key accounts.
• Perform market health audits with the Region Manager and ensure pricing compliance with VCT-USA standards.
• Report directly to the Regional Manager.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field, coupled with two to five years of progressive sales experience in the wine and spirits or beverage industry, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated success in sales and account management within the alcohol beverage industry.
• Comprehensive understanding of on- and off-premise wine channels and the trade.
• Enthusiasm and knowledge about commercial and luxury/premium wines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient public speaking and presentation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with utmost integrity.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Valid Driver’s License with the ability to secure insurance.
• Willingness to travel overnight approximately 10%–15% of the time.
• Availability for weekend and evening work as required.
• Travel throughout the region is necessary.
• Capability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and frequently push/pull up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to perform necessary physical activities and travel via air and ground transportation.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, DMV check, and drug screening.
• Verification of citizenship or legal right to work in the United States at the offer stage.
