This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Rhode Island.
• Lead and manage all facets of the Retail business within the district, encompassing customer service, clienteling, sales, team development, and operational oversight.
• Oversee 8 Kate Spade stores across both Outlet and Specialty locations in the designated territory.
• Ensure a seamless modern luxury shopping experience across all district locations.
• Collaborate with the buying team to deliver insights on customers and competitors.
• Uphold Kate Spade brand standards and values, ensuring the utmost quality and excellence.
• Establish and nurture a proactive selling culture aimed at fostering long-term customer relationships.
• Promote service and sales priorities through training, coaching, role modeling, and hands-on customer engagement.
• Develop teams to provide exceptional customer experiences throughout the district.
• Plan, communicate, and assign responsibilities to Store Leaders.
• Assess store environments and business metrics alongside the Regional Manager; identify areas for improvement and offer coaching.
• Develop strategies for retention and succession planning.
• Represent the Kate Spade brand as an ambassador in the marketplace.
• Articulate vision, strategy, and clear guidance to the team.
• Formulate innovative strategies for both short- and long-term objectives.
• Set objectives in collaboration with the Regional Director and cross-functional partners.
• Keep abreast of fashion trends, market competition, and customer shopping behaviors.
• Design and implement strategies to enhance sales, clienteling, customer engagement, talent acquisition, and retention.
• Forecast, plan, and budget based on business requirements.
• Manage budgets effectively and optimize sales opportunities with District and Store Leaders.
• Work in partnership with Visual, Merchandising, Planning, HR, LP, Finance, Store Operations, and other business collaborators.
• Provide insights on assortment, planning, marketing, visual merchandising, and store environment strategies.
• 10+ years of management experience in a comparable multi-unit retail setting; a blend of education and experience will be taken into account.
• This role requires 30% travel.
• Demonstrated ability to devise strategies and achieve results.
• Capacity to communicate and collaborate effectively with Kate Spade Senior Leadership.
• Proactive problem solver; adept at evaluating issues and formulating steps for resolution.
• Ability to think comprehensively, consider various perspectives on challenges, and arrive at logical conclusions that benefit Kate Spade as a whole.
