This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Investigate disputes related to telecommunications involving customers, vendors, or carriers by examining billing records, tariffs, contracts, switch data, and relevant documentation.
• Analyze CABS invoices, access charges, usage records, long-distance (LD)/interexchange (IXC) billing, and details of intercarrier settlements.
• Review, interpret, and implement FCC tariffs, PUC tariffs, and contractual agreements.
• Collaborate with teams in billing operations, network, finance, carrier relations, and vendor management.
• Prepare summaries of cases, conduct financial analyses, and provide recommendations regarding dispute resolutions.
• Process adjustments, credits, or escalations that have been approved.
• Ensure accurate documentation and maintain compliance with audit, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
• Identify trends in recurring disputes, present findings, and work with leadership on process enhancements.
• Manage dispute queues while adhering to turnaround times, service level agreements (SLA), and quality standards.
• Assist in system enhancements, updates to workflows, and training related to telecom dispute processes.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Telecommunications, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent experience in telecom may suffice.
• Knowledge of telecom disputes, including access billing, intercarrier compensation, and investigations into billing variances.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience with Carrier Access Billing System (CABS), focusing on the analysis of carrier invoices, access charges, and usage discrepancies.
• Familiarity with Telecom FCC tariffs, PUC tariffs, and contractual agreements.
• At least 2 years of experience in dispute resolution, telecom billing analysis, revenue assurance, or intercarrier operations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and pivot tables.
• Skilled in using data analysis and reporting tools.
• Capability to read and interpret carrier contracts, rate decks, service agreements, and regulatory filings.
• Experience in Wholesale/Large Business Collections is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Preferably experienced with telecom billing or mediation systems such as TEOCO, Ericsson, Oracle, SAP, or other industry platforms.
