Discovery Researcher – Ruminant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Create innovative products, tools, and services by identifying opportunities and exploring new concepts.

• Assist ongoing research initiatives under the guidance of the R&D Ruminant manager.

• Deliver comprehensive technical service support to ruminant technical sales teams and account managers globally.

• Aid in the creation of technical marketing materials and research summaries.

• Enhance digital tools for effective data management, analysis, and reporting.

• Coordinate, monitor, and advance research projects with external partners.

• Establish collaborative networks with universities and other research organizations.

• Contribute to the development of Zinpro’s innovation laboratory centers.

• Participate in global initiatives and provide regional support as necessary.

• Travel for research and technical assistance, potentially up to 50% of working days.

• Maintain a work schedule during regular business hours, which may involve different time zones.

⛳️ Requirements

• Ph.D. in a nutrition-related field.

• At least 5 years of experience in developing novel chemical compounds for animal use.

• Proficient understanding of scientific inference.

• Capability to implement major statistical methods using SAS, R, or comparable tools.

• Strong knowledge of ruminant physiology and practical field nutrition applications.

• Familiarity with major diet formulation systems.

• Comfortable using various farm management software.

• Ability to translate basic knowledge into practice and communicate effectively with both general and scientific audiences.

• Competence to work autonomously as well as under supervision.

• Ability to excel in a collaborative team environment.

• Experience with international travel.
