Discovery Researcher – Ruminant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Assist in the development of innovative products, tools, and services for ruminant nutrition through applied research, technical support, and opportunity exploration.

• Generate new products, tools, and services by exploring and identifying potential opportunities.

• Support ongoing research initiatives under the guidance of the R&D Ruminant manager.

• Provide technical service assistance to global technical sales teams and account managers focused on ruminants.

• Aid in the creation of technical marketing material and research summaries.

• Enhance digital tools for efficient data management, analysis, and reporting.

• Organize, monitor, and develop research projects in collaboration with external organizations.

• Establish a network of collaboration with universities and other research institutions.

• Assist in the development of Zinpro’s innovation laboratory centers.

• Contribute to global initiatives and offer support across various regions as necessary.

• Travel up to 50% for research and technical support activities, which may include occasional international travel.

⛳️ Requirements

• Ph.D. degree focused on nutrition.

• At least 5 years of experience in developing novel chemical compounds for animal use.

• Proficient in scientific inference and able to apply significant statistical methods using SAS, R, or similar software.

• Strong comprehension of ruminant physiology and practical field nutrition applications.

• Familiarity with major diet formulation systems.

• Comfortable utilizing various farm management software.

• Interest in connecting fundamental knowledge to practice and effectively communicating with both general and scientific audiences.

• Capable of working independently as well as under supervision.

• Ability to excel in a team-oriented work environment.

• Experience with international travel.

• Ability to work remotely within Zinpro’s global presence.

• Willingness to travel up to 50% of working days.

• Availability to work during standard business hours, potentially across different time zones.
