This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
β’ Participate as a key member of Disaster Human Services Impact Assessment teams.
β’ Assist with field assessment efforts in designated disaster-affected areas.
β’ Evaluate and document the operational impacts on access to human services.
β’ Analyze effects concerning facilities, equipment, vehicles, grounds, utilities, accessibility, staffing, and service delivery.
β’ Clarify how disaster conditions may influence human service providers and the populations they serve.
β’ Identify and record service-access issues related to child care, child welfare, aging and elder care, intimate partner violence, homelessness, trafficking, nutrition assistance, economic self-sufficiency, disability supports, and other services.
β’ Conduct interviews with human service providers, local officials, community partners, and authorized sources using approved protocols and tools.
β’ Ensure accurate observations, maintain assessment records, supporting notes, and required reports.
β’ Collaborate with civil engineers and technical experts regarding facility conditions.
β’ Identify service gaps, operational barriers, resource requirements, and recovery considerations.
β’ Assist in creating assessment summaries, briefings, reports, and other mission-related products.
β’ Offer social work, crisis support, resource navigation, or referral assistance as per mission scope.
β’ Safeguard PII, assessment records, and Federal information.
β’ Utilize culturally sensitive practices and consider individuals with disabilities and access and functional needs.
β’ Engage in readiness activities, training, exercises, briefings, debriefings, hotwashes, and continuous improvement efforts.
β’ Maintain deployment readiness and be prepared to deploy within necessary operational timeframes.
β’ Operate safely in field and austere environments.
β’ Deliver outstanding customer service, prioritizing the needs of children, families, Veterans, or clients.
β’ A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work or a closely related human services field is preferred.
β’ Advanced education in Social Work or a related discipline is desirable.
β’ Any required license or certification for a specific assignment must be current and maintained.
β’ Relevant experience in social work, human services, community services, needs assessment, case management, disaster response/recovery, or service-system coordination is preferred.
β’ Experience in evaluating barriers to human service delivery or working with vulnerable and disaster-affected populations is desirable.
β’ Must complete all required organization screenings, background investigations, credentialing, cybersecurity/privacy training, Rules of Behavior, role-based training, and standardized Disaster Human Services Impact Assessment training prior to access or deployment.
β’ Must ensure reliable availability while being deployment ready and able to work variable schedules, including extended hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays as operationally required.
β’ Nationwide travel and deployment to disaster-affected locations is mandatory.
β’ Must be prepared to deploy within required contract timeframes, including a 48-hour surge requirement when applicable.
β’ Must possess a driver's license with a clean record.
β’ Must have daily access to a vehicle without prior notice.
β’ Must be capable of working in disaster-impacted or austere environments.
β’ Must successfully complete and uphold all required screenings, credentialing, background investigations, training, licenses/certifications when applicable, and security/access requirements.
