This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.

📋 Description

• Deliver essential advisory and strategic planning services to clients in recovery.

• Supervise a large team.

• Assist local governments with long-term recovery efforts following natural disasters.

• Utilize expertise in the FEMA Public Assistance Program—Permanent Work (Categories C-G)—to strategically seek and combine funding sources.

• Act as a subject matter expert on the FEMA PA Program, providing answers to policy-related inquiries.

• Manage a multidisciplinary team focused on cost recovery, infrastructure redevelopment, economic development, housing, social services, and other recovery initiatives.

• Assign tasks, evaluate staffing requirements, and create methodologies to meet unmet needs and optimize funding.

• Adhere to project management best practices.

• Ensure clients have visibility into efforts and receive high-quality deliverables.

⛳️ Requirements

• Previous support for local governments affected by natural disasters through various federal disaster grant programs, from the initial phase of a disaster to grant obligation and closeout.

• At least four years of experience in the FEMA PA Program, including Permanent Work (Categories C-G).

• Proven experience in managing complex and dynamic projects.

• High level of proficiency in written communication, capable of creating detailed policy recommendation documents.

• Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to high-level stakeholders.

• Prior experience managing workloads for large, multidisciplinary teams with diverse experience levels.

• Excellent proficiency with MS Office products, databases, and other software/technology platforms.

• A bachelor's degree is required.
