This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Deliver essential advisory and strategic planning services to clients involved in recovery efforts.

• Manage a large team effectively.

• Act as a disaster recovery authority, assisting local governments in their prolonged recovery from natural disasters.

• Function as a proactive project manager, supervising intricate and evolving disaster recovery initiatives.

• Utilize knowledge of the FEMA Public Assistance Program—Permanent Work (Categories C-G)—to strategically obtain and combine funding for issues and needs arising from catastrophic disasters.

• Serve as a subject matter expert on the FEMA PA Program, addressing policy-related inquiries.

• Supervise a multidisciplinary recovery team that encompasses cost recovery, infrastructure redevelopment, economic development, housing, social services, and other related domains.

• Assign responsibilities, evaluate staffing requirements, and create strategies to address unmet needs while optimizing funding opportunities.

• Maintain project management best practices and ensure client visibility across all initiatives.

• Guarantee that deliverables meet high-quality standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Previous experience supporting local governments affected by natural disasters through various federal disaster grant programs, from the initial stages of a disaster to grant obligation and closeout.

• At least four (4) years of experience with the FEMA PA Program, specifically in Permanent Work (Categories C-G).

• Proven experience in managing intricate and dynamic projects.

• High proficiency in written communication, including the ability to craft detailed and policy-complex recommendation documents.

• Excellent verbal communication abilities, including the skills to present effectively to high-level stakeholders.

• Prior experience in managing workloads for large, multidisciplinary teams with varying experience levels (from junior associates to senior subject matter experts).

• Strong proficiency in MS Office applications, databases, and various software/technology platforms.

• A bachelor's degree is required.
