Disaster Recovery Program Specialist – FEMA PA / HMGP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee FEMA Public Assistance and Hazard Mitigation Grant Program initiatives for communities in recovery.

• Create and maintain project worksheets and necessary grant documentation throughout the award and closeout phases.

• Monitor grant management milestones, drawdowns, and compliance documentation in alignment with FEMA and recipient requirements.

• Collaborate with applicants, recipients, and AlphaGov delivery leads to ensure eligibility, scope, and documentation quality.

• Provide expert qualifications and past-performance narratives to AlphaGov proposals when authorized.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience in administering FEMA Public Assistance and/or Hazard Mitigation Grant Programs.

• Proven background in preparing or managing project worksheets, grant files, and compliance documentation for disaster recovery.

• Comfortable working as a 1099/project-based collaborator; remote-first with travel as needed for client engagements.

• Previous experience with state or local emergency management or recovery organizations.

• Knowledge of FEMA Grants Portal/EM Grantee systems and 2 CFR 200 grant administration.

• 2–3 relevant PA or HMGP engagements that you can reference (agency/client, your role, year).
