This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.
• Serve as a member of Disaster Human Services Impact Assessment teams.
• Assist in field assessment activities within designated disaster-affected jurisdictions.
• Evaluate and document operational impacts that affect access to human services.
• Utilize knowledge of human services delivery to elucidate effects on providers and the populations they serve.
• Identify and record service-access impacts across areas such as child care, child welfare, aging and elder care, intimate partner violence, homelessness, trafficking, nutrition assistance, economic self-sufficiency, disability support, and other related services.
• Conduct interviews and gather information from service providers, local officials, community partners, and authorized sources.
• Document observations, impacts, notes, assessment records, and necessary reports in specified systems.
• Collaborate with civil engineers and technical specialists regarding facility conditions.
• Identify service gaps, operational barriers, resource needs, and considerations for recovery.
• Assist in preparing assessment summaries, briefings, reports, and other mission-related materials.
• Provide social work, crisis support, resource navigation, or referral assistance as directed by mission scope.
• Safeguard Personally Identifiable Information (PII), assessment records, and Federal information.
• Employ culturally responsive practices while taking access and functional needs into account.
• Engage in readiness activities, training sessions, exercises, briefings, debriefings, hotwashes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain readiness for deployment and ensure safe operations in field and austere environments.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by prioritizing the needs of children, families, Veterans, or clients.
• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work or a closely related human services field is preferred.
• Any required license or certification for specific assignments must be current and maintained.
• Must complete all organizational and requisite screenings, background investigations, credentialing, cybersecurity/privacy training, Rules of Behavior, role-based training, and standardized Disaster Human Services Impact Assessment training prior to accessing relevant Government systems, assessment records, and before deployment as required.
• Must ensure reliable availability while designated as deployment ready.
• Must be able to work flexible schedules, including extended hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays as operational needs dictate.
• Nationwide travel and deployment to disaster-affected areas are required.
• Must be capable of deploying within required contract timeframes, including the 48-hour surge requirement when applicable.
• A valid Driver’s License with a clean record is necessary.
• Must have daily access to a vehicle without prior notice.
• Must be able to operate in disaster-impacted or austere environments.
• Must successfully complete and uphold all required screenings, credentialing, background investigations, training, licenses/certifications as applicable, and security/access requirements.
