This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho.

📋 Description

• Serve as a team member within Disaster Human Services Impact Assessment groups.

• Assist in field assessment operations within designated disaster-affected areas.

• Evaluate and record the operational impacts that influence access to human services.

• Analyze the effects on facilities, equipment, vehicles, grounds, utilities, accessibility, staffing, and service delivery conditions.

• Clarify how the conditions resulting from disasters may impact human service providers and the communities they support.

• Identify and document the effects on service access across various sectors, including child care, child welfare, elder care, intimate partner violence, homelessness, trafficking, nutrition assistance, economic self-sufficiency, disability supports, and other related services.

• Conduct interviews and collect information from service providers, officials, community partners, and authorized sources.

• Keep precise observations, notes, assessment records, and reports in specified systems.

• Collaborate with civil engineers and technical experts regarding facility conditions.

• Recognize service gaps, operational barriers, resource requirements, and recovery considerations.

• Assist in creating assessment summaries, briefings, reports, and other mission-related materials.

• Provide social work, crisis support, resource navigation, or referral assistance as necessary within the mission’s scope.

• Safeguard PII, assessment records, and Federal information while adhering to privacy, cybersecurity, records management, and Rules of Behavior protocols.

• Employ culturally responsive practices and address the needs of individuals with disabilities and other access and functional requirements.

• Engage in readiness activities, training sessions, exercises, briefings, debriefings, hotwashes, and ongoing improvement initiatives.

• Maintain deployment readiness and ensure safe deployment within specified timeframes in field and austere conditions.

• Exhibit outstanding customer service by prioritizing the needs of children, families, Veterans, or clients.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Social Work or a closely related human services discipline is preferred.

• Advanced education in Social Work or a related area is advantageous.

• Any licenses or certifications required for specific assignments must be current and maintained.

• Relevant experience in social work, human services, community services, needs assessment, case management, disaster response/recovery, or service system coordination is preferred.

• Experience assessing barriers to human service delivery or working with vulnerable and disaster-affected populations is desirable.

• Must complete organization-mandated screenings, background checks, credentialing, cybersecurity/privacy training, Rules of Behavior, role-based training, and standardized Disaster Human Services Impact Assessment training prior to accessing applicable Government systems or assessment records and before deployment, as required.

• Should maintain reliable availability while deployment ready and be able to work flexible schedules, including extended hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays as operationally necessary.

• Nationwide travel and deployment to disaster-impacted areas is mandatory.

• Must be able to deploy within required contract timeframes, including the 48-hour surge requirement when applicable.

• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is necessary.

• Daily access to a vehicle without prior notice is required.

• Must be capable of functioning in disaster-affected or austere settings.

• Must successfully complete and maintain necessary screenings, credentialing, background investigations, training, licenses/certifications when applicable, and security/access requirements.
