This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.
• Lead the development of portfolio contracting strategies in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders while ensuring endorsement from senior leadership.
• Act as the subject matter expert for vaccine contracting on behalf of the US Vaccines Business.
• Disseminate pricing and contracting knowledge and insights across various teams.
• Contribute to the overall planning and strategy development of the vaccine business unit.
• Work together with vaccine brand teams to align contracting strategies with brand strategies and contracting implementation initiatives.
• Direct execution strategies for customer-facing colleagues to carry out the contracting strategy.
• Gather and act on feedback to enhance pricing and contracting strategies.
• Monitor and consistently improve the operational efficiency of the vaccine contracting process in conjunction with the US Market Access Contract Strategy team.
• Lead a matrixed team that includes Account and/or Trade leadership, US Market Access, Legal, and Digital.
• Align stakeholders on resolving contracting issues.
• Spearhead contract pull-through strategies and analytics to evaluate effectiveness across the US Vaccines portfolio.
• Travel domestically up to 20%.
• BS/BA Degree Required; MBA Preferred.
• 8 years or more of experience in pharmaceutical pricing and/or contracting.
• Experience in leading vaccine-specific pricing and contracting functions, including Retail, Health Systems, Physician Buying Groups (PBGs), Integrated Systems Group Purchasing Organizations, and other vaccine-specific channels.
• Proven track record of strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and project management skills within a complex marketplace.
• Documented success in effectively leading a highly matrixed team, integrating diverse cross-functional perspectives, problem-solving, leadership, and collaboration.
• High adaptability to change, flexibility, and comfort in addressing and adjusting to ambiguity.
• Exceptional commercial, financial, and analytical abilities.
• A wide range of leadership experiences and skills, including influencing and collaborating with brand and customer-facing leadership and peers, mentoring and developing others, and overseeing and guiding colleagues.
• Preferred: experience in developing and executing vaccine portfolio pricing and contracting strategies in a competitive setting.
• Preferred: demonstrated leadership experience in sales, project management, and matrix leadership.
• Preferred: proven account management experience in complex business-to-business sales.
• Must possess authorization to work in the U.S. for any employer.
• U.S. work visa sponsorship is not currently available and will not be in the future.
• Requires permanent work authorization in the United States.
