Director, Technical Program Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee programs that achieve essential business objectives and develop large-scale products and platforms.

• Create TPM operational frameworks, maturity models, and tools across various portfolios.

• Drive program roadmaps that align with business goals, technical solutions, and the sequencing of dependencies.

• Lead technical investment planning across platforms and ensure architectural alignment for platform convergence and reuse.

• Act as an executive-level escalation point for addressing program risks.

• Guide technology leaders to make data-informed decisions regarding speed, cost, and resiliency trade-offs.

• Establish measurable success metrics for the platform, focusing on availability, scalability, cost efficiency, and developer productivity.

• Ensure accountability for delivery across multiple engineering teams.

• Promote the TPM discipline by demonstrating the effectiveness of robust TPM practices within the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in managing technical programs.

• Over 7 years of experience in designing and implementing solutions utilizing distributed computing or service-oriented architecture (SOA).

• At least 3 years of experience in developing distributed systems and highly available services using cloud computing services/architecture, ideally AWS.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in creating highly scalable products and platforms.

• At least 3 years of experience with Agile methodologies.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in delivering large and complex programs.

• Experience in building systems and solutions within a highly regulated environment.

• At least 3 years of experience in people management or influencing organizational outcomes as an individual contributor.

• Proven experience in driving platform standardization across various product portfolios or business lines.

• A track record of enhancing TPM maturity at scale within engineering organizations.

• Exceptional communication and influencing abilities.

• PMP, Lean, Agile, or Six Sigma certification.
