This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee operational governance initiatives within the Retirement & Wealth sector.
• Provide guidance to leadership on aspects such as risk, compliance, resilience, technology, data management, records, and third-party requirements.
• Sustain governance frameworks, procedures, controls, documentation, and yearly roadmaps.
• Organize reviews, attestations, evidence collection, testing, remediation, audit responses, and regulatory submissions.
• Monitor program progress, escalate risks and overdue actions, and foster accountability.
• Direct the execution of the Third-Party Risk Management and Vendor Management programs.
• Collaborate with business units, finance, technology, procurement, risk, and compliance teams on vendor oversight and regulatory responsibilities.
• Facilitate business continuity planning, resilience testing, recovery exercises, and the maintenance of plans.
• Supervise governance related to End User Computing Solutions and conduct Process Criticality & Impact Risk Assessments.
• Ensure that ownership, reviews, testing, approvals, records, and evidence are consistently maintained in enterprise systems.
• Lead assessments of records inventory and advocate for information classification, retention, and lifecycle management.
• Create executive reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
• Maintain repositories for programs, procedures, templates, training materials, and communications with stakeholders.
• Streamline and automate governance processes, enhance operational efficiency, and assist with business onboarding and educational initiatives.
• Cultivate partnerships and exert influence within a complex organizational structure while balancing operational rigor with business facilitation.
• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• A minimum of 8 years in business operations, operational risk, governance, compliance, technology operations, vendor management, business continuity, or a related field.
• In-depth understanding of operational risk, controls, governance, and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to lead intricate cross-functional programs and achieve results through influence.
• Strong skills in program management, analytics, problem-solving, and executive-level communication.
• Experience in crafting governance processes, metrics, and reporting frameworks.
• Preferred background in financial services, particularly in retirement, wealth, asset management, insurance, or banking.
• Familiarity with third-party risk, operational resilience, business continuity, data analytics, records management, audits, and regulatory reviews is preferred.
• Experience with governance or risk management platforms such as Archer, Fusion, Ivalua, Process Unity, or SharePoint is preferred.
