Director, Strategic Pricing – Analytics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead activities related to payer contract modeling and oversee reimbursement models across various markets and service lines.

• Stay actively involved in intricate reimbursement modeling, financial analysis, and providing support for payer negotiations.

• Mentor and cultivate team members in modeling methodologies and best practices for analytical processes.

• Manage the development, maintenance, and governance of the chargemaster.

• Collaborate with departmental leadership on price transparency reporting, dashboards, and market intelligence initiatives.

• Supervise the aggregation, validation, and interpretation of pricing and reimbursement data.

• Guide analytics staff to align with departmental and organizational objectives.

• Establish standards, controls, and governance processes for payer modeling, reimbursement analytics, chargemaster management, and price transparency reporting.

• Represent Health Plan Relations on integration committees for acquisitions, new centers, mergers, and consolidations of centers.

• Conduct ad hoc reimbursement analyses and analytical projects as requested by leadership.

• Promote continuous improvement through talent development, process optimization, enhancements in reporting, and the advancement of analytical tools and technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.

• At least 7 years of experience in healthcare or health plan analytics.

• Proficient knowledge of the healthcare industry, managed care contracts, reimbursement methodologies, and pricing strategies.

• Proven ability to construct and audit complex financial models.

• Capability to analyze extensive healthcare datasets.

• Experience in developing reporting solutions and translating findings into actionable business insights.

• Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

• Advanced Excel skills are essential.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Access, relational databases, and reporting tools is a plus.

• Proven ability to design, develop, and implement routine and custom reporting.

• Competence in effectively communicating with C-suite and executive leadership.

• Excellence in delivering projects punctually through a structured project management approach.

• Working knowledge of ambulatory surgery payer contract methodologies.

• Required expertise in Excel-based modeling, analysis, financial reporting, or data analytics.

• Experience in leading a team to achieve business goals.

• An advanced degree (MBA, MHA, or equivalent) is preferred.
