Director, Strategic Finance

📋 Description

• Take charge of the annual planning process, rolling forecasts, and monthly variance analyses.

• Facilitate operational rhythms with leaders from revenue, marketing, product, and operations.

• Convert financial performance data into actionable insights and ensure accountability across the business.

• Oversee board and investor communications, including financial reports, narratives, and follow-up actions.

• Manage the entire capital raising process, including data room organization, investor materials preparation, financial modeling, and due diligence support.

• Handle ongoing investor relations, including updates, relationship management, and compliance with information rights.

• Conduct analyses on partner economics, pricing strategies, sell-through rates, market expansion, cohort performance, and revenue optimization.

• Manage unit economics and platform analytics, covering GMV, take rate, and partner-level performance.

• Mentor and guide an Analyst.

• Report directly to the CFO and work in collaboration with accounting/finance operations, BizOps, the CEO, and other functional leaders.

• 7–10 years of experience in finance, investment banking, consulting, or a blend of these, with significant time spent in a high-growth tech or platform environment.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and a knack for navigating ambiguous situations.

• Demonstrated capacity to execute and achieve results in a high-paced setting.

• Solid financial modeling expertise and a history of driving business success through financial collaboration.

• Experience that is pivotal to a capital raising effort.

• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the capability to translate numerical data into compelling narratives for diverse audiences.

• High level of responsibility and accountability.

• Ability to work across different functions and manage competing priorities while serving as a thought partner to the CFO, CEO, and other company leaders.
