Director – Solution Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Acquire a comprehensive, hands-on knowledge of Zeta's complete banking technology ecosystem.

• Conduct technical discovery sessions with institutions that have extensive existing technology infrastructures.

• Develop solutions across various banking platforms while defining scope and subsequent phases.

• Create and showcase customer solutions live during calls and presentations.

• Generate target architectures and integration designs for core, ledger, data, and channel systems currently in use.

• Design strategies for coexistence and phasing.

• Construct reusable reference architectures and solution libraries.

• Build and sustain demo environments.

• Design and execute proofs of concept, bake-offs, and tabletop exercises.

• Manage technical responses to RFPs and RFIs, security questionnaires, penetration test and audit report assessments, resilience and exit planning, along with vendor due diligence.

• Develop technical diagrams and architectural visuals.

• Advocate for the technical case throughout enterprise architecture, information security, and procurement evaluations.

• Act as the technical liaison to banking service-provider partners.

• Support partner sales engineers and solution consultants.

• Maintain competitive analysis and positioning.

• Produce technical thought leadership in collaboration with Marketing and engage in industry events and analyst interactions.

• Provide customer insights and deal feedback to the Product team.

• Contribute to rigorous technical evaluations, competitive RFPs, proofs of concept, bake-offs, and securing seven-figure ARR contracts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 12 years of experience in technology and commercial roles, encompassing software development and engineering, product management, pre-sales, and customer success.

• Significant experience in selling technology solutions to banks or credit unions in the United States.

• Proven history of guiding deals through enterprise architecture, information security, and procurement reviews.

• Broad expertise across core banking, deposits, payments, cards, lending, and digital channels, with in-depth hands-on experience in at least two areas.

• Experience with core or platform migration and coexistence in an operational institution is highly preferred.

• A degree in computer science or engineering is required.

• Proficient in architecture, APIs, events, and data models of cloud-native banking platforms.

• Capability to design and advocate for target architectures and migration pathways.

• Sales experience with evaluations tracked over quarters.

• Skillful in presenting technical concepts to non-technical audiences and effectively communicating with engineers.

• Strong presentation and public speaking abilities.

• Ability to excel in a start-up environment with no existing team structure.
