Director, Solution Architecture

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Lead the architecture and design for intricate enterprise platforms, encompassing cloud and hybrid environments, systems integration, modernization, and cybersecurity initiatives.

• Create comprehensive solution architectures, reference architectures, design patterns, technical proposal methodologies, white papers, and program baselines.

• Act as the chief architect for key proposal initiatives.

• Collaborate with growth and operations teams to address solution challenges, ensuring that solutions are feasible, scalable, and secure.

• Build, lead, and mentor a team of solution architects and senior technologists.

• Set standards for architectural quality, documentation, and accountability.

• Promote ownership, delivery excellence, and ongoing improvement.

• Support capture and proposal initiatives, technical win strategies, and briefings for customers and executives.

• Convert customer requirements into actionable architectures.

• Serve as the technical representative with clients, business development, and program leadership.

• Leverage AI/ML and advanced analytics to enhance solution design, delivery, and mission outcomes.

• Lead solution architectures within a federal government contracting environment, covering program execution, contract initiation, and operational sustainability.

• Report directly to the Chief Growth Officer, contributing to win strategies, technical integrity, and strategic growth goals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in technical architecture, solution engineering, or systems design roles.

• Proven track record of leading solution development for large-scale Federal/Defense projects.

• In-depth knowledge of AI/ML, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.), cybersecurity frameworks, data engineering, and enterprise IT.

• Experience in architecting solutions that align with ITIL, DoD RMF, Zero Trust, DevSecOps, and Agile methodologies.

• Expertise in developing technical volumes for proposals and supporting business development efforts.

• Progressive technical leadership experience in cross-functional engineering, digital transformation, data analytics, and cybersecurity teams.

• Demonstrated capability to incorporate AI-powered tools into existing workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy in proposal development and solution design.

• Proficiency with industry best practices in enterprise and security architecture.

• Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and results-driven.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
