Director, Software Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Lead the design and deployment of Outseer products in accordance with the Product roadmap.

• Provide strategic and operational guidance in the creation and development of company applications.

• Convert product strategy and goals into technological capabilities.

• Deliver architecture, design, and execution within established timelines, ensuring high quality and scalability.

• Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of robust software solutions across Outseer’s product offerings.

• Innovate and engineer solutions in the fraud detection engineering field to address financial crime.

• Derive and optimize engineering KPIs, promote agility, and manage teams through potentially disruptive changes.

• Lead and mentor software engineers located in various geographical regions.

• Promote engineering excellence and cultivate a culture of continuous improvement.

• Deliver outstanding software products on schedule and within budget.

• Guide organizational, cultural, and operational changes while sustaining delivery momentum.

• Align teams around strategic objectives and nurture leadership development.

• Balance innovation, customer commitments, technical debt, and operational stability.

• Establish reliability practices and outcome-based KPIs to enhance delivery, productivity, quality, and customer impact.

• Set architectural direction across on-premises, cloud, and SaaS platforms.

• Develop a secure, automated SDLC that encompasses CI/CD, testing, release management, vulnerability management, and compliance.

• Assess technologies and vendors and lead responsible adoption and effective implementation of AI throughout the software development lifecycle.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

• 12+ years of experience leading software development teams, demonstrating a strong track record of successfully managing global teams.

• Proven experience in delivering complex software projects within time and budget constraints.

• Established background in fraud detection engineering or a similar field, with a comprehensive understanding of engineering real-time solutions to mitigate fraud.

• Excellent leadership and team-building skills, capable of motivating and inspiring a diverse group of software engineers.

• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities, with an emphasis on driving continuous improvement.

• Familiarity with agile & SAFe development methodologies and contemporary software development practices.

• Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities, effectively working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

• Knowledge of various software development technologies, frameworks, and programming languages.

• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to achieving goals.

• Effective communicator, capable of advising senior leadership and partners.

• Flexible and adaptable in ambiguous situations.

• Proven ability to understand the influence of technology on business challenges, processes, and efficiency.

• Capable of explaining the benefits of a technical product/solution to clients in relation to their business needs.
