Director, Revenue Cycle Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Oversee all operational facets of accounts receivable outsourcing projects

• Supervise engagement teams

• Foster and maintain positive relationships with clients

• Provide support and solutions for inquiries from both external and internal clients

• Compile necessary reports and logs

• Act as a technical authority on financial responsibilities for clients and team members

• Stay informed about healthcare issues and regulations, particularly concerning government payors

• Report trends in payments and denials, as well as procedural challenges, to clients

• Suggest corrective actions for identified trends and issues

• Set goals and priorities that align with organizational objectives

• Ensure adherence to company policies, applicable laws, regulations, governance, Information Security, and HIPAA standards

• Report any violations of policy, governance, legal, and regulatory matters through established channels

• Assist in remedying internal control failures

• Communicate concerns regarding internal controls and process modifications to management

• Implement and oversee internal controls within the scope of responsibility

• Ensure adherence to internal control change management protocols and communicate them effectively

• Promptly disable remote client access for employees who are terminated or transferred when necessary

• Ensure that direct reports are trained and compliant with Information Security and HIPAA policies

• Handle, protect, and disclose PHI in line with HIPAA standards

• Limit access to PHI to the minimum necessary

• Perform additional duties as assigned


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree is required

• At least 10 years of experience in a hospital business office or a similar environment

• Minimum of 7 years of experience managing hospital receivables in an acute care setting or equivalent

• Prior management experience is essential

• Familiarity with governmental, legal, and regulatory provisions related to collection activities

• Understanding of insurance company practices regarding reimbursements

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels

• Excellent problem-solving and creative skills; capable of exercising sound judgment and making decisions based on accurate and timely analyses

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required

• Must be dependable, responsible, goal-oriented, and adaptable

• Required to possess a smartphone or electronic device capable of downloading applications for multifactor authentication and security purposes

• Ability to follow directions, collaborate with others, manage stress, and work both independently and as part of a team

• Willingness to travel occasionally to client locations
