
Director, Retrieval Operations – Inventory Strategy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the inventory strategy and planning framework for Payer Retrieval.
• Convert client demand, project milestones, and retrieval targets into daily and weekly operational plans.
• Develop forecasting, segmentation, prioritization, and routing strategies for retrieval channels.
• Assess channel and partner performance and modify inventory distribution as needed.
• Track project performance in relation to client commitments, retrieval targets, pacing curves, and operational plans.
• Recognize risks and spearhead recovery planning for inventory that is delayed, aging, blocked, unmatched, or stalled.
• Employ scenario planning to evaluate demand, capacity, productivity, channel availability, and client priorities.
• Align inventory demand with staffing and capacity plans.
• Assist in annual planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Create KPIs, dashboards, and governance routines.
• Collaborate with Business Intelligence and Analytics for reporting and executive recommendations.
• Work with Product, Engineering, and Analytics to enhance prioritization and routing logic.
• Define inventory segmentation between human calls and Voice AI in conjunction with Call Center leadership.
• Identify, implement, assess, and optimize automation opportunities.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the Inventory Strategy team.
• Counsel senior leadership on inventory strategy, pacing, capacity, risks, and retrieval performance.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, supply chain, analytics, finance, healthcare administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Eight or more years of progressive experience in operations, inventory planning, demand forecasting, capacity planning, workforce planning, or a related field.
• Minimum of three years in a team leadership role.
• Proven experience in translating demand forecasts and business objectives into production, routing, prioritization, and capacity plans in a high-volume, multi-channel service or workflow environment.
• Capability to identify performance risks, formulate recovery plans, establish operational governance, and influence decisions across organizational boundaries.
• Strong financial and analytical abilities, including the evaluation of productivity, capacity, service, yield, cost, and operational trade-offs.
• Background in collaborating with Product and Engineering on operational technology, automation, AI-enabled workflows, prioritization logic, or decision-support capabilities.
• Experience in defining requirements and assessing business impact.
• Outstanding executive communication skills with the ability to simplify complex analyses into actionable recommendations.
• Proficiency in spreadsheets, data visualization, business intelligence, forecasting, or enterprise planning tools.
• Familiarity with SQL or similar analytical tools is advantageous.
• Preferably experienced in healthcare operations, medical record retrieval, payer operations, vendor management, or another complex service environment.
