This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.
• Oversee and manage a continuous program for player, market, and competitive research within RSI’s regulated markets.
• Maintain a scorecard that evaluates market share, feature and promotional parity, vendor and content exclusivity, competitive positioning, and player experience.
• Lead, develop, and supervise the Research team.
• Conduct research on brand perception, positioning, campaigns, and creative aspects in collaboration with Marketing.
• Validate product roadmap decisions and prioritize features using evidence from player and market research.
• Inform strategies regarding pricing, promotions, vendors, and content in partnership with the Commercial team.
• Design and execute both qualitative and quantitative research methods, including user testing, focus groups, moderated interviews, and player surveys.
• Identify player motivations, behaviors, needs, and pain points, translating these insights into actionable recommendations.
• Facilitate research presentations to Product, Marketing, Commercial, and other key stakeholders.
• Create a shared evidence base among Marketing, CRM, Product, Commercial, UX, Data/Analytics, Customer Support, and Design System teams.
• Set up and manage a centralized process for research request intake.
• Develop and uphold a framework for prioritizing research initiatives.
• Maintain a searchable database of research findings, competitive intelligence, and market insights.
• Schedule regular research and insights presentations at least on a monthly basis.
• Manage and brief external research agencies, data providers, and specialized vendors.
• Monitor vendor and content exclusivity, providing intelligence for vendor and commercial decisions.
• Collaborate with Analytics and Data Science to combine research with behavioral, operational, and performance data.
• Convey findings through reports, presentations, and collaborative sessions.
• Keep an eye on emerging trends in gaming, fintech, digital experiences, and related industries.
• Adjust research methodologies to accommodate regional and cultural differences across U.S. and international markets, especially in Latin America.
• Establish a company-wide repository of player, market, and competitive intelligence.
• Link research outcomes to acquisition, conversion, retention, and player value metrics.
• 8+ years of experience in player research, market research, consumer insights, user research, competitive intelligence, or a similar research field.
• Ideally experienced within the gaming, fintech, digital consumer products, or a comparable environment.
• Proficient in player, market, consumer insights, or related research domains.
• Capable of designing, conducting, analyzing, and applying qualitative and quantitative research to influence business decisions.
• Expertise in competitive analysis, market share tracking, benchmarking, and market intelligence.
• Proven track record of translating research into actionable insights for Marketing, Product, CRM, and Commercial teams.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
• Familiarity with managing external research agencies, vendors, and data partners.
• Knowledgeable in evaluating vendor and content exclusivity and related market opportunities.
• Hands-on experience with research platforms such as UserTesting, Maze, Optimal Workshop, UserZoom, or similar solutions.
• Experienced in developing and managing research intake and prioritization processes.
• Strong written, verbal, presentation, and storytelling abilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with Design leadership and Design System teams.
• Familiarity with Figma libraries, design tokens, and pattern documentation is preferred.
• Strong analytical thinking and a genuine curiosity about player behavior, market dynamics, and business results.
• Ability to concurrently manage multiple research initiatives.
• Proficient in English.
• Willingness to travel occasionally, both domestically and internationally.
