This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide strategic leadership and operational guidance for essential functions within the Registrar’s Office.
• Maintain the accuracy, integrity, and security of student records.
• Ensure adherence to academic and institutional policies, FERPA regulations, accreditation standards, as well as federal and state laws.
• Lead Associate Directors responsible for student records, evaluations and articulation, scheduling, and graduation.
• Oversee hiring, recruitment, onboarding, training, professional development, coaching, and performance management.
• Direct daily operations related to records and processing, evaluations and articulations, scheduling, graduation, and student requests and appeals.
• Ensure timely and precise management of academic records, course scheduling, transcript processing, enrollment, degree evaluation, and conferral.
• Promote collaboration across departments and act as a liaison with academic and administrative stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the University Registrar on strategic initiatives and student-centered services.
• Generate and analyze weekly and monthly reports while establishing performance metrics and service-level standards.
• Utilize data and trend analysis to guide strategic decisions and identify areas for operational improvement.
• Assist with Registrar’s Office processes, monitor the CRM email inbox, and communicate with students and university departments.
• Verify attendance dates and degrees conferred; authenticate documents and report any suspected fraudulent documents.
• Assess eligibility of petitions based on the University catalog, CAS Manual, and Business Process Guide.
• Liaise with CAS members, faculty, department chairs, deans, Financial Aid, Student Services, Academics, Finance, and Regional Operations Directors.
• Lead initiatives for process improvement and systems optimization involving student information systems and related platforms.
• Participate in testing university-wide system upgrades.
• Research industry standards and best practices associated with enrollment, scheduling, grading, and attendance reporting.
• Manage the development of admission and registration processes, procedures, and practices.
• Monitor compliance with Department of Education Title IV policies and institutional leave-of-absence requirements.
• Identify and implement technological solutions for policy exceptions and leave-of-absence processes.
• Develop expertise in SOAR, Title IV regulations, R2T4 calculations, withdrawal policies, and National Student Clearinghouse enrollment reporting.
• Provide expert guidance on leave-of-absence and CAS decisions, course waivers, substitutions, and transfer credit.
• Participate in departmental and special projects and perform other assigned duties.
• Directly supervise up to 3 Associate Directors, up to 3 team leads, and as many as 35 frontline staff members.
• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• A minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience in higher education.
• At least five (5) years of leadership experience is required.
• A minimum of three (3) years of leadership experience in a Registrar’s office is preferred.
• Experience in higher education is required.
• Experience in a technology-driven environment is preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of Title IV guidelines.
• Advanced proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite Applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, imaging processes, Optical Character Recognition, and Electronic Document Management software such as OnBase.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently under deadline pressure.
• Excellent oral and interpersonal communication skills.
• Capacity to communicate effectively with senior administration, staff, and faculty.
• Mature judgment with the ability to be tactful and diplomatic in challenging student and staff/faculty interactions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites.
• Experience with Salesforce, PeopleSoft, and Anthology.
• Ability to work closely with others in a supportive and congenial environment.
