Director, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Residency Program

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Develop and establish the comprehensive structure for the PMHNP residency program.

• Formulate and document the residency curriculum along with the seminar schedule.

• Spearhead accreditation initiatives, including acquiring an understanding of the accreditation process and CAPP requirements.

• Provide mentorship and training for residents transitioning from graduate education to professional practice.

• Create and implement thorough evaluation systems for residents.

• Address resident performance concerns and devise performance enhancement plans.

• Work collaboratively with clinical and administrative teams to incorporate residents into Blackbird Health's whole-child care culture.

• Report directly to the VP of Medical Services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s Degree from an accredited nursing institution.

• PMHNP-BC certification.

• Current PMHNP/APRN license in Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, or Maryland.

• Capability to secure licenses in additional states as necessary.

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a CRNP.

• At least 1 year of experience in an educational or leadership position within a behavioral health environment.

• Strong clinical abilities and knowledge of evidence-based practices in pediatric psychiatry.

• Proven track record in training, developing, and motivating healthcare professionals.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced and expanding environment.

• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards pertaining to behavioral health services and residency program accreditation.

• Proficient in using Google Suite, EMR systems, and virtual platforms.
