📋 Description

• Formulate and implement strategic business development initiatives to enhance revenue growth and broaden market reach.

• Oversee a substantial portfolio of client and prospect accounts as the strategic account manager and primary relationship lead.

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through diligent research, networking, and outreach efforts.

• Recognize potential clients and tailor DMA’s offerings to meet their specific needs.

• Collaborate with DMA service teams to seek and capitalize on mutually advantageous business opportunities.

• Engage in field-oriented business development activities.

• Assess and comprehend client and prospect tax issues, challenges, and objectives.

• Draft written communications, statements of work (SOWs), and proposals that convey client needs and DMA’s value proposition.

• Lead or partake in internal strategy, education, and planning sessions.

• Collaborate with legal counsel during contract negotiations and ensure adherence to internal processes.

• Maintain precise and timely updates in the CRM and relay key developments to internal stakeholders.

• Deliver project and relationship management to ensure client satisfaction and retention.

• Allocate roughly 90% of the role to sales-driven activities and 10% to supporting the larger Business Development team.

• After approximately two years of development, reliably generate $3–5 million in annual production through new business development and account growth.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Accounting, or a related field.

• 4-5 years of relevant business development experience, ideally within tax, financial, or consulting services.

• Proven track record in managing client relationships and stimulating revenue growth.

• Strong understanding of CRM systems, sales KPIs, and pipeline management.

• Familiarity with tax law concepts and the capability to translate client needs into customized solutions.

• Established ability to cultivate internal relationships and collaborate across functions.

• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.

• Strong analytical skills, initiative, and attention to detail.

• Effective leadership and time management competencies.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce).

• Standard 40-hour work week.

• 10-25% travel required.
