Director, Partnerships

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Lead the Partnerships team in reaching ambitious annual fundraising goals of at least 7 figures through Prime's catalytic capital initiatives and core support.

• Increase catalytic investment from a variety of asset owners.

• Develop and sustain a portfolio of philanthropic partners, especially DAF holders and UHNWIs who are new to philanthropy.

• Encourage partner involvement in catalytic investment opportunities and contribute to Prime’s long-term financial viability.

• Manage donor engagement tracking and maintain accurate CRM records in collaboration with Partnership Operations.

• Direct the prioritization and diversification of engagement with foundations, major donors, family offices, corporate giving, and other philanthropic contributors.

• Leverage data, analytics, and market insights to shape strategy and enhance fundraising efforts.

• Spearhead fundraising campaigns for critical programmatic initiatives.

• Assist the Chief Growth Officer with strategic projects.

• Represent Prime externally when necessary.

• Supervise and cultivate a team of 2-5 members.

• Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on fundraising objectives and annual targets.

• Coordinate with the Director of Catalytic Investing and the Managing Director of Trellis on fundraising campaigns specific to programs.

• Participate in the development, execution, and annual goal-setting for team-wide strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• 10-12+ years of experience in fundraising, partnerships, impact investing, capital formation, or philanthropy.

• Significant experience in managing donor or investor pipelines and securing substantial funding commitments.

• At least 5 years of direct management experience in remote or hybrid settings.

• Proven success in achieving fundraising goals through securing multi-year, multi-million dollar contributions.

• Experience with fundraising campaigns is highly desirable.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for relationship-building.

• Proficient with fundraising software, including CRMs, prospecting databases, and productivity tools.

• Familiarity with Raiser’s Edge is preferred.

• Experience in impact investing and/or venture capital is preferred, but not mandatory.

• Understanding of the climate finance landscape is preferred but not required.

• Knowledge of catalytic investing and climate finance in non-U.S. markets is preferred.
