This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota, +1 more state.
• Lead significant accounts and enhance market access for Novartis’ product offerings.
• Execute brand strategies in collaboration with key national and regional clients to meet targets and increase market share.
• Cultivate relationships with senior stakeholders at targeted accounts.
• Assess account requirements and devise mutually beneficial solutions.
• Develop and implement business plans for key accounts.
• Grasp customer needs ranging from departmental levels to C-suite and foresee business-impacting trends.
• Formulate strategic approaches that align with Novartis goals and account requirements.
• Spearhead strategy and execution during the product launch phase.
• Facilitate collaboration among headquarters, account, and regional leadership teams.
• Engage with account executives at both C-suite and D-suite levels.
• Act as the primary oncology contact for Novartis account partners.
• Promote cross-functional collaboration and proactively address challenges and remove barriers.
• Take ownership of account performance and deliver significant outcomes.
• Ensure effective communication between Novartis, key accounts, internal teams, Customer Engagement executives, and other sectors of Novartis.
• Oversee multiple high-priority accounts, including at least one complex, high-visibility account that significantly impacts Novartis Oncology.
• Complete all necessary initial training for the field role, including home study.
• Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited 4-year college or university.
• 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or similarly structured industries with large, geographically diverse teams.
• Experience must include at least two different types of cross-functional roles and/or experiences.
• 2+ years in project management with a focus on translating strategy into execution.
• 2+ years leading complex projects necessitating cross-functional and national alignment.
• Proven track record of outstanding performance and execution that yields results.
• Strong influencing capabilities.
• Ability to demonstrate tact and diplomacy in high-pressure situations.
• Candidate must reside within the designated territory or be within a reasonable daily commuting distance of 100 miles from the territory border.
• Willingness to travel 60–80% across a wide geographic area.
• Capability to drive and/or fly within the territory.
• Must possess a valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
• 3+ years in account management involving Academic Medical Centers, Integrated Health Systems, GPOs, and/or large community oncology integrated networks (preferred).
• Experience in the oncology therapeutic area (preferred).
