Director of Web

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the web strategy and oversee its execution from start to finish for HIP and Neon Canvas, which includes partner website design, development, launches, maintenance, and coordination with third-party vendors.

• Lead the Web Team Leads for both brands and integrate their operational methods into a cohesive working model.

• Ensure timely delivery, maintain post-launch quality, address defects, enhance client/partner retention, manage delivery margins, and drive growth.

• Establish web project standards, design and development operational frameworks, and foster innovation.

• Handle escalations, quarterly business reviews (QBRs), and large-scale partner web discovery, acting as the function's representative to leadership.

• Manage the service line’s profit and loss (P&L), pricing and packaging, utilization and capacity, as well as growth and expansion efforts.

• Conduct pre-sales scoping and assist the sales team with web pitches and proposals.

• Oversee organizational design, employee leveling, career paths, succession planning, onboarding, and learning and development (L&D).

• Administer vendor relationships, contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), budget management, risk assessment, compliance, and brand safety.

• Introduce innovative build/design practices, AI-assisted delivery methods, conversion technologies, and automation techniques.

• Spearhead AI enablement initiatives across web teams, tools, workflows, and training programs.

• Mentor Team Leads through one-on-one sessions, scorecard evaluations, and facilitating solutions; personally address issues with at-risk or underperforming partners.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years as a Director of Web or in a comparable role at an agency of similar size and scope, managing web delivery for more than 500 accounts.

• Direct experience in harmonizing web delivery across two brands or entities under a unified operational model.

• Over 6 years of experience in delivering web design and development, preferably within an agency or multi-client environment.

• Strong expertise in WordPress and modern development stacks.

• Experience in the orthodontic or dental field is advantageous.

• At least 2 years of experience leading other managers rather than solely individual contributors.

• Strong skills in delivery/project management and quality assurance (QA) practices.

• Proven track record in managing vendor build teams to adhere to SLAs.

• Demonstrated ability in change management and experience in standardizing operations across two teams.

• Commercial acumen, including understanding delivery margins, utilization, growth, and experience collaborating with sales teams.

• Exceptional communication skills with executives and stakeholders.

• Must reside in the United States.

• Availability to work from 8 am to 5 pm CST, Monday through Friday.
