Director of Transformation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with department leaders at 21GRAMS and Room42 to facilitate operational transformation.

• Convert leadership vision and priorities into precise, actionable strategies.

• Foster alignment among departments and ensure team involvement in change initiatives.

• Manage change projects from planning through execution, adoption, and sustained reinforcement.

• Develop project plans, schedules, and milestones, holding teams accountable for progress.

• Oversee initiatives, resolve issues, adapt strategies as needed, and create feedback mechanisms.

• Enhance staffing, project scoping, creative workflows, and overall efficiency.

• Identify inefficiencies, misunderstandings, and inconsistencies, and devise practical solutions.

• Ensure that new processes and tools, including AI and other technologies, are properly documented and adopted.

• Communicate strategies, decisions, and changes across all departments.

• Act as a representative of leadership, escalating risks, obstacles, and team concerns.

• Track adoption rates and modify pacing, support, and communication as necessary.

• Advocate for ongoing improvement, empathy, and teamwork.

• Assess and report on the impact of change initiatives using feedback from teams and operational metrics.

• Empower department leaders to maintain new operational methods independently.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 8 years of progressive experience in operations, change management, program or project management, or organizational effectiveness within an agency, consulting, or professional services context.

• At least 3 years of experience leading cross-functional change initiatives or operational programs.

• Proven track record of collaborating with senior department leaders across Account, Strategy, Creative, or Project Management.

• History of implementing initiatives that significantly improved team operations and maintaining those changes over time.

• Strong grasp of agency operating models.

• Familiarity with staffing, project scoping, and creative workflow processes in an agency setting.

• Proficient in using project and program management tools such as Workfront, Smartsheet, or similar.

• Comfortable evaluating AI tools and agents to enhance team productivity.

• Excellent and polished communication abilities.

• Strong empathetic listening, facilitation, and relationship-building capabilities.

• Ability to build trust across departments without direct authority.

• Capacity to hold teams accountable while being receptive to feedback.

• Preferred: knowledge of change management frameworks such as ADKAR or Kotter's model.

• Preferred: experience within healthcare, pharmaceutical, or life sciences advertising or communications agencies.

• Preferred: formal change management certification like Prosci or ADKAR, or similar qualifications.

• Preferred: experience working with internal production or studio teams akin to Room42.

• Preferred: background in process improvement, organizational design, or agency operations.

• Preferred: experience aiding in new business transitions, account restructuring, or large-scale operational launches.
