Director of Technical Delivery

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of recruiting, enabling, and managing the daily performance of the AI FDE team.

• Develop the organizational design and capacity plan for the AI FDE team as customer demand increases.

• Create and implement standard operating procedures for implementation, success metrics, and escalation processes.

• Design delivery frameworks, encompassing methodology, tools, and quality assurance, to ensure AI deployments are consistent rather than customized.

• Manage the entire AI delivery lifecycle, from post-sale transition through solution design, launch, and the shift to sustained customer success.

• Guarantee seamless transitions between Sales, Implementation, and Account Management in both directions.

• Act as a primary stakeholder in the governance of AI programs.

• Identify platform deficiencies and utilize field feedback to influence the Product and Engineering roadmap.

• Own the team’s OKRs related to go-live schedules, customer satisfaction, and net revenue retention.

• Represent AI delivery in cross-departmental planning sessions with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering leadership.

• Build and lead Leena AI's AI FDE team from the ground up.

• Ensure that every AI deployment is repeatable, of high quality, and closely aligned with Product and Engineering.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Science (BS) or Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from an accredited university.

• 10 to 15 years of experience in development, technical delivery, or leadership roles in professional services within growth-stage SaaS or AI-native companies.

• Proven experience in building and scaling customer-facing technical teams (FDEs, engineers, analysts).

• Demonstrated ability to effectively present and communicate with senior internal and client stakeholders (C-suite, VPs, Directors).

• Previous experience as a hands-on developer, knowledgeable in architecture diagrams and technical trade-offs, without needing to write production code.

• Recent, hands-on experience delivering AI or ML-driven solutions in a growth-stage SaaS or AI-native company.

• Expertise in designing SDLC-style frameworks, tools, and standards that facilitate consistent, high-quality delivery outcomes.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven feedback loop into Product and Engineering that has positively impacted a company's offerings.

• Capability to lead through influence across Sales, Product, Success, and Engineering teams without formal authority.

• Prior experience with AI/ML products or technologies is a significant plus.

• Familiarity with modern delivery or project management tools (e.g., Jira, Rocketlane).

• Experience establishing a delivery function from the ground up in a growth-stage or funding-constrained environment.
