This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead, develop, and expand the Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting function at Agility Robotics.
• Create scalable processes for SEC reporting within a newly public company framework.
• Oversee partnerships with external advisory firms.
• Propel innovation in reporting and implement modern tools for financial compliance and reporting.
• Act as the subject matter expert on revenue recognition (ASC 606), leases (ASC 842), stock-based compensation (ASC 718), valuation analysis, and complex transactions.
• Prepare, revise, and uphold audit-ready technical white papers and company-wide accounting policies.
• Design, execute, and maintain SOX compliance frameworks and internal controls for financial reporting.
• Direct the preparation, review, and filing of SEC Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K, ensuring compliance with SEC, US GAAP, and XBRL standards.
• Work alongside IR and FP&A teams on earnings releases, investor presentations, non-GAAP reconciliations, and conference call scripts.
• Manage external valuation experts, technical accounting consultants, and tax advisory firms.
• Coordinate with external auditors and legal counsel regarding deliverables and timelines.
• Establish workflows, financial reporting schedules, and compliance standards for public companies.
• Assist with the NetSuite ERP implementation and align system architecture and posting logic with GAAP standards.
• Assess and implement reporting technologies, automation tools, and software solutions.
• Recruit, hire, and develop high-performing accounting professionals.
• A minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in accounting.
• A blend of public accounting experience and in-house reporting and technical accounting within a public company.
• CPA or Chartered Accountant designation is required.
• Direct experience with public companies, including hands-on management of SEC Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K, and ensuring SEC compliance.
• Extensive knowledge of US GAAP, SEC regulations, XBRL, ASC 606, ASC 842, and ASC 718.
• Demonstrated ability to manage external specialists, auditors, and consultants under tight deadlines.
• Experience in recruiting, hiring, and developing accounting talent.
• Familiarity with contemporary financial ecosystems and reporting technologies.
• Must have current authorization to work in the United States.
• Preferred experience with NetSuite environments.
• Strong executive presence with the ability to convey complex accounting topics to leadership and auditors.
• Capability to design internal controls across accounting functions without a dedicated internal audit team.
• Strong adaptability and problem-solving skills in a newly public company setting.
