This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +9 more states.
• Develop and direct the U.S. commercial strategy for the CT & PVS portfolio.
• Focus on thoracic surgery while exploring growth opportunities in cardiac surgery and additional clinical applications.
• Accelerate the uptake of digital chest drainage technology by highlighting its clinical and economic advantages.
• Assess procedure volumes, market potential, competitive landscape, product usage, and unexploited opportunities.
• Collaborate with the sales team to engage clients, cultivate strategic accounts, navigate hospital purchasing procedures, and convert prospects.
• Provide leadership, guidance, resources, and accountability to cultivate a high-performing sales team.
• Enhance sales processes, territory strategies, and incentive schemes.
• Forge relationships with cardiothoracic surgeons, clinical stakeholders, and hospital executives.
• Navigate value analysis committees, contracting processes, and purchasing decisions.
• Establish revenue targets, budgets, forecasts, and long-term business strategies.
• Supervise the utilization of installed equipment, consumable sales, profitability, and market share.
• Work in partnership with Marketing, Product Management, Clinical Education, and global leadership.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in medical device sales and commercial leadership, ideally in the surgical sector.
• Proven experience selling to thoracic or cardiac surgeons.
• Strong knowledge of the operating room environment and hospital purchasing processes.
• Track record of successfully launching innovative medical technologies, developing new markets, or promoting the adoption of products that challenge traditional clinical practices.
• Solid commercial and financial acumen, encompassing market analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning.
• Experience in leading, coaching, and motivating sales teams in a dynamic or growth-focused environment.
• Established understanding of hospital contracting, value analysis committees, strategic accounts, and distribution channels.
• Ability to balance strategic insights with hands-on execution and significant customer engagement.
• Collaborative and confident leadership style that builds trust, promotes accountability, and empowers team members to thrive.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
• Willingness to travel up to 70%, including occasional international trips.
• Experience in thoracic surgery, chest drainage, cardiothoracic medical devices, or the introduction of disruptive surgical technologies is especially beneficial.
