Director of Sales – Northeast

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.

📋 Description

• Lead the Distributor Sales team in achieving and surpassing revenue targets.

• Provide mentorship, coaching, and professional growth opportunities to Territory Managers and agency partners.

• Cultivate accountability, collaboration, and success within the sales team.

• Build and enhance relationships with distributor partners and independent sales agencies.

• Design and implement product training programs for representative agencies and distributors.

• Discover new opportunities, increase market share, and strengthen key account relationships.

• Analyze sales data and KPIs, offering actionable feedback and strategic modifications.

• Ensure Agency and Territory Managers achieve or exceed their individual and team sales objectives.

• Work alongside marketing, operations, and product teams to synchronize sales initiatives with company goals.

• Generate and assess sales reports, monitor performance, identify trends, and deliver actionable insights.

• Create and execute data-driven strategies for sales growth.

• Review and authorize key forecasting and pricing decisions while managing margins.

• Identify areas for improvement and formulate success-oriented plans.

• Enhance customer satisfaction by anticipating consumer needs.

• Negotiate commercial terms and policies with clients and sales agencies.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.

• A minimum of 7–10 years in sales or account management, ideally within the lighting industry.

• At least 5 years of leadership or management experience overseeing sales teams and/or sales agencies.

• Proven leadership track record with a strong emphasis on mentorship, coaching, and team development.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of influencing and inspiring others.

• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills; skilled at transforming insights into actionable growth strategies.

• Demonstrated success in managing independent sales agencies and distributor partnerships.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.

• In-depth knowledge of the lighting industry.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.
