This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bulgaria, +5 more countries.
β’ Create and uphold a cohesive quality strategy that aligns with both organizational and product objectives.
β’ Establish QA standards, processes, tools, and governance frameworks across all product lines.
β’ Spearhead quality enhancement initiatives, audits, and transformation programs.
β’ Promote the use of AI/ML-driven quality, testing, and risk-assessment tools.
β’ Define, monitor, and report on quality metrics including defect rates, release stability, automation effectiveness, and customer-reported issues.
β’ Generate executive-level quality reports and dashboards for C-suite leadership.
β’ Provide dotted-line leadership to approximately 150 QA and Automation QA professionals across 10 geographically distributed product teams.
β’ Mentor QA managers, leads, and senior engineers while developing competency frameworks.
β’ Supervise functional, regression, integration, performance, security, and automated testing practices.
β’ Enhance automation strategies and frameworks that support CI/CD pipelines and modern engineering delivery models.
β’ Lead the integration of AI-assisted testing, generative AI tools, intelligent automation, and predictive quality insights.
β’ Ensure alignment on release criteria, quality gates, and readiness standards.
β’ Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to enhance release stability, predictability, and performance.
β’ Manage defect detection and quality-risk visibility throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
β’ Engage in critical release reviews, escalations, and post-release assessments.
β’ Partner with Product Management to ensure requirements are testable and quality expectations are clearly defined.
β’ Work closely with Customer Support, Customer Success, Sales, Pre-Sales, and Services during issue resolution and customer-critical engagements.
β’ Communicate quality risks, priorities, and metrics to stakeholders and executive leadership.
β’ Enhance customer retention and competitive positioning through improved product quality and reliability.
β’ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
β’ Over 10 years of experience in QA, Quality Engineering, or Software Testing.
β’ At least 7 years in QA leadership roles with accountability across multiple products and international teams.
β’ Proficiency with automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and modern SDLC methodologies.
β’ Proven capability to lead in a matrixed or dotted-line organizational structure.
β’ Demonstrated experience with AI-assisted testing or ML-driven quality tools.
β’ Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and business domains.
β’ A strong passion for quality, innovation, efficiency, and ongoing improvement.
β’ Experience in preparing and delivering reports and insights to C-level executives.
β’ Preferred: Experience in SaaS, cloud platforms, or enterprise software.
β’ Preferred: Knowledge of generative AI, predictive analytics, or intelligent automation technologies.
β’ Preferred: Experience in large-scale QA modernization and organizational change initiatives.
