Director of Professional Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the Professional Services division from start to finish

• Supervise around ten individuals spanning two levels, including four direct reports

• Ensure high-quality delivery across implementation and ongoing solution engagements

• Manage client care outcomes in alignment with service levels through the Manager of Professional Services

• Promote post-implementation adoption so that districts can realize the purchased value

• Plan resources and capacity throughout the function

• Update and develop methodologies, templates, processes, playbooks, and operational standards

• Oversee commercial performance, including scoping, pricing, and margin, in collaboration with the VP and Finance

• Act as a senior escalation point above the Implementation Manager and Manager levels

• Mentor and develop direct reports

• Modernize existing processes and establish undocumented processes while delivery work continues and districts go live

⛳️ Requirements

• 7 to 12 years of professional experience

• 5 to 8 years of direct people management experience

• Proven ownership of a large-scale, multi-department rollout from initiation to steady state, either vendor-side or district-side

• Experience in creating a process, playbook, or operational framework where none previously existed

• Background in recovering projects that are genuinely at risk of failing

• A repeatable strategy for ensuring a new system remains effective beyond go-live, with measurable outcomes

• Responsibility for operating metrics for a managed team, including taking action when metrics go awry

• Familiarity with K-12 systems, single sign-on, student information systems, and data provisioning

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including interaction with Sales and Finance

• Willingness to travel 10% to 25% for internal meetings, conferences, industry events, and occasional on-site work with districts
