Director of Product, Search and Curated Experiences

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Oversee Search and Curated Experiences, focusing on relevance, ranking, query comprehension, document-type coverage, filters, latency, reliability, adoption, and engagement.

• Develop and advocate for a roadmap that balances relevance quality, coverage, and performance in alignment with business priorities.

• Create metrics, benchmarks, and conduct experiments to assess and validate search enhancements.

• Collaborate with Knowledge Graph, SuperAnalyst / AI, Engineering, and Design teams.

• Guide and mentor the product manager for curated experiences and domain expertise.

• Establish clear ownership and elevate standards for the search organization as it expands.

• Direct the comprehensive product lifecycle from strategy and experimentation through to launch, post-launch analysis, and ongoing iteration.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in building search and relevance systems at scale, with expertise in ranking, retrieval, query understanding, and evaluation.

• Capability to analyze representation, freshness, quality, and trade-offs in system design.

• Proven track record of managing programs from inception to completion while operating independently.

• Competence in managing and developing product managers.

• Analytical and data-oriented perspective on search quality.

• Insight into how advanced users conduct searches and form convictions.

• Experience utilizing interviews, usability testing, and behavioral data to validate hypotheses.

• Ability to synchronize engineering, design, and product marketing efforts around a cohesive roadmap.

• Direct experience in financial services, capital markets, or working with core customers is advantageous but not mandatory.
