This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.
• Collaborate in developing the organization's fundraising strategy aiming for a minimum of $600,000 in annual recurring operational funding.
• Ensure the successful execution of the Yolmo capital campaign, which is currently at $3.9M in Phase 2, with an additional $10M planned for future phases.
• Create the revenue mix across various donor tiers, including major donors, foundation partnerships, and specific campaigns.
• Establish tier targets, engagement plans, and stewardship sequences.
• Manage and nurture a portfolio of at least 50 major-donor relationships and prospects alongside the Executive Director.
• Take ownership of visit targets, solicitations, and closures for the portfolio, leveraging the Executive Director for key prospects.
• Maintain personal pipeline and moves-management records using Keela CRM.
• Foster relationships with principal and program officers at foundations.
• Optimize the Executive Director's time dedicated to donor engagement.
• Supervise the Community Giving & Events Manager.
• Align fundraising activities led by staff with the annual strategy.
• Suggest refinements in workflow and staffing.
• Collaborate with the Board on fundraising efforts and assist in Board recruitment, retention, and engagement.
• Develop the case for support and frame donor communications effectively.
• Create cultivation opportunities and assist with event operations as necessary.
• A minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible frontline development experience.
• Proven track record in building a major-donor pipeline from a cold or limited base.
• Experience in personally securing five- and six-figure donations; seven-figure gifts are a plus.
• Background in supervising, coaching, or mentoring others.
• Proficiency in managing pipeline and moves-management records within a CRM.
• Familiarity with Keela CRM is required.
• Strong understanding or rapid credibility in US and Asia major-gift philanthropy.
• Well-established US high-capacity individual networks are a significant advantage.
• Ability to thrive in a small, distributed, and highly autonomous team environment.
• Genuine connection with the mission and the ability to speak authentically about Basic Goodness and the learning model.
• Capability to translate a founder's vision into actionable strategy and execution.
• An inspiring, grounded, collaborative, and highly relational communication style.
• Familiarity with education or mission-related fields is a plus but not mandatory.
• A Buddhist practice is not a requirement.
