Director of Payments

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement the product portfolio roadmap across various payment sectors.

• Assess product-market alignment through customer research, pilot programs, and design collaborations.

• Establish, organize, and guide a specialized product-engineering team.

• Act as a representative for the venture at conferences, partner meetings, and discussions within the ecosystem.

• Collaborate with R&D on core protocol capabilities and future releases.

• Execute multiple foundational platform launches within a 6 to 18-month timeframe.

• Foster commercial growth through initial partnerships, distribution networks, and revenue opportunities.

• Report directly to the CTO/Head of Core INFRA while enjoying a high degree of autonomy and support from the broader organization.

• Transform established protocol-level technology into payment solutions such as remittances, merchant payments, or agentic transactions.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3 to 7 years of experience in payments, remittances, or fintech; experience in crypto is essential, while knowledge of traditional payment systems is advantageous.

• Practical experience in developing crypto payment products.

• Strong comprehension of Bitcoin and EVM ecosystems.

• Background in product strategy, customer discovery, and partnership development.

• Familiarity with agentic or AI-driven payment processes and programmable currency.

• Experience in incubating and scaling products.

• Capability to deliver quickly, prioritize effectively, and navigate uncertainty comfortably.

• Willingness to take ownership and lead a venture.

• Comfort in presenting and serving as the external representative of the venture.
