This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +40 more locations.
• Oversee operational functions for regional sites in collaboration with site General Managers.
• Serve as the intermediary between the organization and clients, managing intricate customer relationships.
• Analyze and pinpoint value-added services that align customer needs with solution-oriented selling.
• Formulate long-term strategies for customer sites to enhance operational efficiency and profitability.
• Execute and help shape the network vision, translating it effectively to sites and employees.
• Discover new business opportunities and optimize revenue and margins from existing clientele.
• Maintain customer relationships through transparent and proactive communication.
• Conduct monthly and quarterly business reviews focusing on performance, value-added services, and challenges.
• Monitor and continually assess daily site performance against set KPIs.
• Meet at least monthly with designated General Managers to ensure visibility into daily operations.
• Promote safety initiatives throughout the network.
• Develop and sustain customer profiles while reviewing business issues, organizational structures, opportunities, information flow, competitors, processes, and contracts.
• Construct business cases and present proposals and value solutions that align with customer objectives.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and training to employees within the operational framework.
• Collaborate with Learning & Development on strategic staff growth.
• Direct the implementation of new programs and processes across functions.
• Utilize Lean Six Sigma tools to evaluate site capabilities and enhance efficiency, safety, quality, and financial performance.
• Regularly visit sites to establish a management presence in accordance with Kenco principles.
• Travel approximately 50%–75% of the time.
• Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business management, logistics, or a related field is required; an M.B.A. is preferred.
• 8-10 years of experience in supply chain management, business management, or logistics is required; regulatory experience preferred for certain sites.
• 3-5 years of leadership experience in logistics sites with budgetary oversight is required.
• Lean Six Sigma and/or Supply Chain certification or training is preferred.
• Strong leadership and management abilities with a proven track record of maximizing team performance and development are required.
• Comprehensive understanding of supply chain strategies is essential.
• Excellent customer relationship skills; capable of balancing and managing customer expectations while aligning with corporate objectives.
• Strong problem-solving, planning, organizational, and decision-making skills are necessary.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
• Proficient interpersonal influence skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities are crucial.
• Understanding of and ability to manage HR costs and growth.
• Proactive approach to employee relations issues.
• Detailed knowledge of financial practices and accounting principles.
• Capability to establish policies and procedures.
• Ability to lead others effectively through a collaborative team approach.
• Willingness and capability to travel frequently.
