Director of Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Recruit, hire, train, mentor, and assess Managing Partners.

• Identify and cultivate high-potential internal and external talent for succession planning and leadership continuity.

• Hold Managing Partners accountable for financial, operational, customer experience, and personnel objectives.

• Conduct monthly business reviews to uncover opportunities.

• Develop and implement tailored business plans aimed at driving revenue growth, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction.

• Collaborate on employee relations issues, encompassing coaching, performance management, corrective actions, and terminations.

• Support staffing strategies to enhance productivity and service excellence.

• Work together with Financial Planning & Analysis on performance trends and pricing strategies.

• Analyze performance metrics and leverage data-driven insights to boost operational effectiveness.

• Recommend capital investments that maximize ROI while supporting long-term objectives.

• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations related to funeral homes, cemeteries, crematories, and sales operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Funeral Service, or a related field is preferred.

• Over 5 years of progressive leadership experience in funeral service, cemetery operations, multi-location management, or sales leadership.

• Proven ability to manage multiple locations and meet financial and operational goals.

• Possess a strategic and innovative mindset.

• Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities.

• Willingness to travel 50%-75% of the time.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) is required.

• Detail-oriented with the capability to thrive in a team environment.
