This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Lead Nursing/Patient Care Services and support Program Directors in managing clinical staff.
• Offer expertise in case management, chart evaluations, service utilization reviews, and discharge planning.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards for patient care, particularly for wound care and hyperbaric patients.
• Maintain performance improvement initiatives and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities.
• Oversee and engage in clinical education, including the development of educational content and training sessions.
• Directly manage Nursing Administrators and Clinical Auditors.
• Supervise the Clinical Assessment department and its staff, including conducting performance reviews, managing time-off, coaching, one-on-ones, and setting goals.
• Oversee patient referrals and review charts for treatment eligibility and accuracy.
• Travel to clinics for the purpose of clinical education, supporting the opening of new centers, and covering clinical shifts.
• Engage in employee recruitment, assignment of work, performance evaluations, and staff development.
• Conduct annual quality assessments for each clinic and suggest enhancements.
• Assist in the establishment and launch of new clinics, including managing supplies, equipment, scheduling, patient flow, EMR, education, and patient care standards.
• Collaborate with HR and Training on onboarding processes, training development, and identifying training needs.
• Develop training courses and educational materials.
• Stay informed about standards in wound care and hyperbaric oxygen therapy, including Local Coverage Determinations (LCDs).
• Work with Revenue Cycle on insurance verifications and ensuring timely authorizations.
• Maintain relationships with medical directors and provide support to all centers.
• Review clinical competency assessments and ensure that annual staff competencies are met.
• Participate in policy development conferences and problem-solving initiatives for Nursing/Patient Care Services.
• Coordinate with various departments to guarantee continuity and collaboration of services.
• Confirm compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, standards, and protocols.
• Ensure adherence to HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Registered Nurse from an accredited nursing school or college.
• Current state nursing licensure.
• CWS, WCC, or WOCN certification is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved agency.
• Minimum of 5 years of management experience is required.
• At least 5 years of experience in wound care and/or hyperbaric oxygen therapy is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical training experience is necessary.
• At least 2 years of experience in charting, billing, and insurance authorizations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office or similar software.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Capacity to treat others with compassion and patience.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.
• All employees must adhere to HIPAA policies and procedures.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is preferred.
• Certified Hyperbaric Registered Nurse (CHRN) preferred, or the ability to obtain certification within 3 years.
• Experience in outpatient clinics and/or hospital operations is preferred.
• Ability to stand, walk, drive, lift up to 50 pounds, sit for extended periods, focus on a computer screen for extended durations, push, pull, stoop, squat, shift heavy objects, and travel by air.
