This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Develop, organize, and lead the Nursing Services Department in accordance with regulatory standards and the organization's objectives.
• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local laws, as well as URAC and ACHC accreditation requirements.
• Create, sustain, and periodically revise nursing policies, procedures, and clinical standards.
• Supervise home health nursing services, including those provided by subcontractors.
• Direct the recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention processes for nursing staff.
• Oversee the development of nurse competencies, maintenance of licensure, and continuing education initiatives.
• Manage budgets and expenses for the nursing department.
• Lead initiatives for quality assurance, performance improvement, and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with the Medical Director and Operations leadership on admission processes and active patient management.
• Evaluate patient care plans and clinical documentation to ensure quality, safety, and compliance.
• Promote coordination between nursing services and other patient care teams.
• Maintain effective relationships with physicians and referral partners.
• Act as a senior clinical escalation point for concerns regarding patient care.
• Stay updated on nursing trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in home and infusion care.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in home care or hospital nursing.
• At least three (3) years of nursing leadership or management experience.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% as necessary for meetings, training, or oversight purposes.
• Strong clinical leadership experience in home health or infusion services.
• Dedication to patient safety, quality care, and nurse development.
• Experience in managing regulatory compliance and preparing for accreditation.
• Ability to think strategically while executing operational tasks.
• Exceptional, professional communication skills with clinicians, administrators, and stakeholders.
• Preferred: Master’s degree in Nursing or a related field.
• Preferred: Certification in a nursing specialty.
• Preferred: Eligibility for Nurse License Compact.
